Rezvan Ahmed is currently an MBA student at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School. Born and raised in Kenya, Rezvan is passionate about positively changing the narrative about doing business in sub-Saharan Africa. Rezvan is particularly passionate about using buildings, renewable energy systems and infrastructure to make a positive impact on society while minimising their impact on the planet.
Rezvan has over six years of professional experience in Canada, most recently as an electrical engineer leading projects at Arup, a global engineering firm designing buildings and large infrastructure all over the world. Rezvan holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in Canada and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
A student in the Cambridge MBA, Thabo is the recipient of the 2019 Regional Africa Scholarship. With 7+ years’ experience in the Washington DC office of a global architecture, design and real-estate consulting firm, she has industry experience in operations, business development and project management.
Thabo has a strong entrepreneurial spirit and was instrumental in setting up the firm’s Africa practice, where she worked directly for the Co-CEO on growing business in the region. Following the MBA, Thabo would like to set-up a business focused on real-estate in east and southern Africa.
Rivhatshinyi Kamara is a full-time student on the MFin programme at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge. Before enrolling for her masters Rivha worked as an associate for the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), responsible for deal origination, due diligence and post investment portfolio management. During her time at the IDC she served on the board of investee companies and completed over 20 transactions across debt and equity direct investments in renewable energy, chemical products and pharmaceuticals in Africa.
Prior to that she worked for Barclays Capital in their Investment Banking division as an analyst in Debt Capital Markets as well as capital structuring and ratings advisory.
Rivha received her BSc degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cape Town with honours. She further received a Master’s in Management specializing in finance and investments from the University of the Witwatersrand. Post the MFin Rivha would hopes to work in private capital markets with a focus on impact investing and emerging markets.

A student in the Cambridge MBA, Steeve is from Cameroon specifically Baham in the west region. Before the MBA, Steeve worked more than four years as a financial manager for BGFIBank, a major bank in Central Africa. He was responsible for monitoring, improving and communicating the financial performance of the bank.
Steeve is a French speaker and received a first Class B. Eng degree in Civil Engineering from Coventry University. He further received a Distinction Master’s in structural engineering from City University London. Post the MBA, Steeve would like to work in Investment banking with a focus on emerging markets.
